Bismillahir'rahmannir'rahim.
Allahumma sali'ala sayyiddina Muhammadin wa 'ala alay sayyiddina Muhammadin wa barik wa salim.
The Spiritual Journey
Is not the outcome of empty practices,
And machinated habits.
Neither an attempt to mete out the sacrilegious,
Nor the desire to be overly zealous.
Rather it is the yearning
To so desperately feel the heart
Be in rhythm with all else that so voluntarily
Praises and delights in the Living.
It is the ardent desire
To live as a transparent vessel
So that nothing may amiss this newfound vision.
It is the discovery
That this realm is but a River;
Where the currents are not always harsh,
Nor always self-born.
And that everything is in your favor,
If you but steer it so,
Or gently understand its course.
To accept that sometimes
The most valuable lessons
Are those learned from the shorelines
That you have awashed upon..
